Liz and Clint knew they wanted to have a destination wedding in Florida and then three main things that were important to them – venue needed to have golf facilities (both are avid golfers and enthusiasts), it needed to be close to an airport so family and friends get trouble for around the country and it had to have a picturesque Florida setting close to the water. Liz had spent years going to Naples to visit her grandmother and was one of her favorites places and since the la playa resort was just around the corner from her grandmother and seemed to have all of their must haves, we knew it was meant to be!

The iconic resort with an old-Florida feel was the perfect place for all of the weekend events starting with a Welcome Party & BBQ at the North Pool. On Saturday, the bride enjoyed spending the morning with each of their closest friends and family while getting ready for the big day!

The resort’s beach provided the perfect backdrop for the ceremony as the sun slowly set over the Gulf of Mexico. Lyfe of the Party created custom bouquets for each of the bridesmaids in a palette of white, blue and yellow and each one was tied with a blue and white striped ribbon. They also created a one-of-a-kind driftwood arbor for the ceremony with beautiful flowers and greenery. It was the perfect touch for this elegant seaside wedding.

Liz paid tribute to her sorority roots by wearing her mother’s badge on her bouquet (her something borrowed and blue), having custom Toms made with “Faith. Hope. Love.” On the back and being serenaded by over 15 sorority sisters.

After the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktail hour on the beach while watching the sunset. After cocktail hour, everyone was escorted across the property to the beautiful Vanderbilt Ballroom for the reception. The room was decorated in blues, yellows, grays and ivory and included lanterns and custom farmhouse tables, as well as lots of travel related touches (compass escort cards, favorite location table names, a custom sign-in map). After formalities and dinner, guests enjoyed dancingthe night away with the newlyweds while also enjoying delicious wedding cake and a fun s’mores station. At the end of the night, everyone gathered on the veranda to send the couple off In style with a glow stick exit.

Following the wedding, everyone joined the couple for a farewell brunch before departing for the honeymoon. It was such a special treat to work with liz and Clint and their families Over the past year to make this weddings deal come true.
