We enjoyed working with Emily & Pat to make their Key West wedding a dream come true. They knew they wanted a true destination wedding, complete with a bright, citrus palette and classic, yacht club chicness, all encompassing the true Key West vibe. Since the couple was located in Kansas City, most of the planning was done from afar with the help of lots of inspiration provided by location and the bride. Emily was looking for something a little different….a little bold, a little bright and just the right touch of classic. With the help of a few inspiration photos provided by the bride, Kelly and Peter from Milan Event worked hand in hand with the couple to create a new twist on an old favorite. Using a dark navy seersucker stripe linen, a classic charger and white hemstitch napkins, lots of color was brought in with the floral in hues of fuchsia, orange, yellow and lime. Peter also used accent linens in bold hues of fuchsia and orange for the cocktail hour with moroccan-style lanterns. Emily and Pat also infused actual citrus with touches of limes in some of the arrangement as well as the place cards.
The wedding kicked off with Cinco de Mayo Rehearsal Dinner by Great Events complete with a taco and nacho bar, Mexican-style desserts and margaritas and Mexican beers. The party continued on the wedding day with lots of family and friends traveling from all over to celebrate Emily & Pat. The bridesmaids wore custom fuchsia skirts and white tanks with gold jewelry and the guys wore linen pants and white shirts and all of the guests wore lots of bright, tropical hues, perfectly complementing the decor. The dance floor was packed all night long thanks to the help the Key Lime Pirates.
Thanks for the wonderful description! Thank you Just Save The Date and most of all thank you Kelly! You were able to make our wedding everything we wanted and more! Everything was so easy and organized! Thanks again.
