It’s October and that means it is the beginning of Wedding Season in the Florida Keys!  As we begin to prepare for another busy year at Just Save The Date, we wanted to take the time to wish an early Happy 1st Anniversary to one of our first Just Save The Date couples, Fallon & Nigel.

It seems like it just yesterday that Fallon & Nigel contacted us about helping them plan and coordinate their Key West wedding.  Planning from Virginia had it’s challenges, but thanks to numerous phone calls and emails, and the help of Fallon’s sister, Shiobhan, the details came together easily.  Fallon & Nigel chose a palette of purple and green to complete their beachside location of the Southernmost on the Beach Resort.  They also decided to incorporate starfish and seashells into the decor since they were getting married on the beach.

They also choose purple and green orchids for their personal flowers (bouquets & boutonnieres).   The male members of the wedding party, including the ring bearer, wore khaki suits with dark purple striped ties, while the female wedding party members donned dark purple, one-shoulder tea-length dresses.  The bride even donned purple shoes under her gown.

The ceremony location was complete with a custom draped arch in purple and green tulle, along with hand-tied hanging starfish on custom-dyed rope that accented the chairs along the aisle, as well as tiki torches.  After a brief rain shower, guests gathered at the beach to witness the marriage ceremony of Fallon & Nigel.  During the ceremony, the couple took part in a sand ceremony to signify the joining of their two lives together.

After the beautiful beachside ceremony, the wedding party had fun with Ken Pak and his team from Ken Pak Photography, while guests were treated to appetizers and cocktails, served by the Southernmost on the Beach Cafe staff, while overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.

After photos and cocktail hour, the bridal party joined the guests for a Cuban-themed dinner, followed by lots of dancing and delicious cake by Key West Cakes.
