Hemingway House {Venue Safari}

Venue Safari

I had the opportunity to post another write-up about one of my favorite venues in Key West on the Venue Safari blog.  This time,  in keeping the historical feel of the last post on the Casa Marina Resort, I decided to write about the most historical, and maybe the most famous, private residence in the Florida Keys…The Ernest Hemingway Home & Museum.  Nestled in the heart of Old Town Key West, this unique and historic property was home to one of America’s most honored and respected authors, Ernst Hemingway.   The grounds of the Ernest Hemingway Home & Museum provides lush, beautifully landscaped gardens, perfect for both intimate ceremonies and grand soirees.  The home itself provides a majestic backdrop for photo opportunities as well as adds a historical ambiance to any event.  Guests will be enchanted while dancing under the stars while dining and drinking tropical drinks, reminiscent of Ernest and Pauline’s soirees, which entertained the like of fellow artists, novelists, poets and socialites such as F. Scott Fitzgerald.  The home’s current famous residents are the more than 40 whimsical cats, many of which are polydactyl (containing six toes), and are descendants of Hemingway’s original cat, Snowball.

The venue offers several options for both ceremony and reception venues, including the pool area, the gardens and the home’s main lawn. Whether it is an intimate gathering for 2 or a celebration of 300 of your closest friends and family, the Ernest Hemingway Home & Museum is the perfect island venue.

Special thanks to Blueye Images and Studio Julie for the photos used here and in the original post.

Until next time, remember to Just Save The Date…We’ll Take Care of The Rest!
