From Meghan of MEC Images: Catherine and Tom were married at the Ocean Key Resort and Spa in Key West. Surrounded by family and friends, the newlyweds tied the knot in a romantic seaside ceremony on the Ocean Terrace, followed by a festive reception on the Sunset Pier. Following the tragedy of the bombings at the Boston Marathon, this Boston-based couple (and the majority of their guests) fought the challenges of traveling to Florida for their destination wedding with flights being cancelled throughout the week and many guests stranded without a way to head south. The couple remained optimistic and when the bombing suspect was apprehended hours before the wedding and their last guest arrived, a huge celebration erupted at the Rehearsal Dinner! In the face of tragedy, this wedding was a celebration on many levels, infused with lots of love, laughter and as they say in Boston, a wicked good time!
